What a few months. As you all know i was in hospital in November due to back and spine and bladder problems well in December 30th the problems came back big time and very painful,I was admitted this time and had a catheter fitted which is still fitted i dont know when it is coming out if at all.Great way to see in the new year cheers !!!!!!!!!. Well thing got bad yesterday as my feet went numb ans i could not walk or feel my legs at all so i call my husband home from work and he tried to help me get up and starting to work but i just could not do it so i phoned my GP who was great and she phoned the hospital and had a word with them then she phened me back ,I then remembered that the whole time that i had not been having my RA injections and drugs due to antibiotics so she told me to start straight away and she would phone my consultant and get the ball rolling asap also try and get some social services and OT to help at home and with the children and housework .Sad

Cazza, so sorry you are having to deal with this. ((( hugs ))), I am glad you have a supportive gp, it does help. OT can be a real help and they come out quite quickly for urgent cases. They show you ways to do things around the house differently, and provide adaptations that help. Sending you positive vibes!

Dear Cazza,

I am so sorry that the saga continues for you and that there has not been much in the way of improvement. I can't believe that your care plan on discharge did not include extra care to help with the children . Lets hope that help comes quickly .

Lots of love,

Eleanor x

Hi Cazza,

Good to hear from you. I too have had a lot of trouble with my back (3 prolapsed discs), but not as bad as you, and appreciate that on top of the RA how miserable life can feel, living in constant pain and with not being able to move around is the pits!!Sad

I'm really pleased that your GP has referred you to the OT and Social Services and with their help you should be able to receive support at home, and hopefully life should become easier.

Take care and a big cyber hug,

Love,

Barbara

So sorry to hear you are still struggling Cazza - thank goodness for a good GP. I hope you very quickly get the help you deserve in the house, and with the children.

Take care,

Kathleen x
